TALK: Audience

Facilitator: Murray Hemi

Iā€™d like to talk about audience. How do you use or match your publication/digital platform with the audience you are wanting to access. Is there any data or research undertaken with the NZ public to understand how different demographics are engaging with digital information sources ā€“ what platforms and how?

1 Response to TALK: Audience

  1. That would be an almost impossible ask wouldn’t it? I mean, how would you find out what your particular audience engages in, in terms of their choice of digital platform use? Broadly speaking I would imagine you would start at the other end of that line of questioning (I have a marketing and communications background) i.e. how do you reach your particular audience through digital platforms, where do they find your links, how ‘available’ is access to your platform, what search engines are you visible through, is your language pitched to your audience/s etc. Sorry not trying to be critical just raising some discussion points. šŸ™‚
