David Taine
Academically, my background includes majors in ecology, english, euro studies, and active pre-occupations with architecture, maps and 'library science'.
Since working in a library environment, and especially since doing an Intro to GIS course, I keep being pulled towards the interface between humanities content and digital tools and concepts, so thought I should be pro-active and look for ways to engage in this field.
I would definitely class myself as a beginner in terms of technical skills, but would hope to contribute questions and discussion if nothing else. I'll hopefully get an idea of personal/professional development directions, and thus be able to give back some at future THATCamps!
I peaked in terms of gaming prowess with SimCity, c.1995.
