I’m a Teaching Fellow and Visual Resources Administrator in Victoria University of Wellington’s Art History Programme. As a tutor, lecturer and course co-ordinator I have utilised a range of digital tools to create engaging and informative learning environments, but always in concert with traditional teaching practices. In my role as Visual Resources Administrator I am currently working on implementing a new digital image management and presentation platform for use by the School of Art History, Classics and Religious Studies (and potentially other Schools and Faculties throughout the university also). I am also employed by the Centre for Academic Development as a Contact for Academic Technology, a role which not only demands an interest in, and awareness of, newly-developing digital tools, but also an understanding of the pedagogical purpose behind their use.
